Facbook expulsion

This article about Taylor Cummings, a senior from Nashville, getting expelled for a comment on facebook, is rediculous. I hate reading articles like this, because older generations do not understand the slang, informality, and illegitimacy of things kids might say online. Though the comment was violent the actual threat shouldve been further investigated at least in order to rule an expulsion. He was a good kid who deffinitely did not deserve or intend those consequences. Adults, especially school officials need to take facebook activity in context. This kid might have had an obscence status but compared to all of the other posts he might see on his news feed, chances are his status was no more obscene than any others. My generation tends to be very explicit and unaware of the consequences of their online behavior, but no child in their right mind would make a legitimate threat on the internet for everyone to see as evidence. Clearly he said it in anger and didnt mean it at all. This happens all the time...
